Web design and search engine optimization for Camping Cala d’Ostia, a family campsite overlooking the sea located on the southwest coast of Sardinia (Italy), in one of the most emblematic and beautiful corners of the Mediterranean.

When I contacted them, their website was quite outdated due to the image it projected, the lack of optimization for mobile devices and the absence of a quotation and online booking system.

We carried out the web design and development with a customized interface, i.e. a customized web design, with responsive design, as well as implementing a centralized booking system (PMS).

PMS, booking engine and channel manager for better booking management

When I started working with Camping Cala d’Ostia, the way to manage bookings was by phone, through the contact form on the website and by email. A not very efficient way, also for the client, who could not immediately know the availability and price of his stay.

Through the implementation of the PMS it is now possible to centralize all bookings that are displayed in a planner. The PMS receives bookings from the website via the booking engine and from booking portals such as Booking.com via the channel manager. The different software communicate with each other to synchronize availability and thus avoid the dreaded overbooking.

Search engine optimization and copywriting for the blog

Along with the restyling of the website and the implementation of the PMS, several tasks have been carried out to improve the search engine positioning. They have been, above all, improvements on site, which have made the website to be among the first positions in the search results for keywords relevant to the sector. One of the tasks that has given the most positive results has been the copywriting for the blog, i.e. the writing of articles, with quality keywords, on topics of interest to the campsite’s customers.
